Aaron J. Brisbane, DVM
Dr. Brisbane is a native Australian. Although he grew up just blocks from the ocean, his passion was horses. He was an active member of pony club and fondly recalls riding his horse on the beach regularly.
He came to the United States when he was 18 years old to pursue a rodeo scholarship in order to become a veterinarian. He attended Fort Scott Community College for two years and qualified for the College National Finals Rodeo in bull riding in 1994.
While attending Fort Scott, he apprenticed under a certified journeyman farrier. After leaving, he began his own farrier business.
In 1996, he entered veterinary school at the University of Missouri-Columbia. While attending veterinary school he provided farrier services for many of the patients in the hospital.
Upon graduation, he worked at a mixed animal practice in the area. He left the area for a few years working primarily on horses at an equine referral surgical facility . In October, 2007, he returned to the Kansas City northland and opened Brisbane Veterinary Services, LLC.
Dr. Brisbane is married and has three young daughters who frequently assist him on veterinary emergencies.
In his spare time, he enjoys roping, riding young horses and spending time with his family.
